Polish Praise Night

Tonight we enjoyed a concert with the group Siloe, the band that came to the camp last year. We sang many familiar songs (in Polish) and had a great time dancing and singing praise to our amazing God. It was a night of pure worship.

The worship leader, we discovered was originally from Texas, but is fluent in Polish. He shared a message on turning our lives over fully to Jesus and prayed a prayer of salvation in both Polish and English. You could see that the campers were very involved in the time we spent together. The favorite song of the evening was clearly the "Happy Song" sung in both Polish and English.

We could use some prayers for a string of events that continues to reoccur. We have been having camera problems (lost, broken or defective, seven different incidents!), and minor injuries (except Kim's wrist/thumb injury from volleyball) beyond counting. We would love to make it through the rest of our trip with as few incidents as possible.

We would also like to ask for prayers for the campers as they get ready to leave camp as well. We have seen so many of them grow closer to the Lord and to each other. We know that this will be a difficult time for many as they leave here to places where christian friends are few and far between. Pray that God will continue to work in their lives and provide them with the christian support they need.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop (even though I didn't find an original post for this day's entry). It sounds like the Lord is deepening relationships between campers and leadership teams as well as with Himself. I wish I had heard the testimonies! Plan to share them when you return.

Silo was awesome. I'm glad you got to enjoy their music again. And, the Happy Song! Yeah....
Consider that in the set for the 1st praise night...can you sing it in Polish.

We will keep you all in our prayers. Sounds like a rough time with the incidents and with the cameras. Goodness.

Don't lose your pictures. We can't wait to see them.

Oh, we have pictures. Steve is with us (he has about 1600, just him, not to mention all the video he has!). We'll make you our photo hostage as soon as you want to see them. :)

See you soon!

I'm blown away by the testimonies, I wish I'd been there to hear them in person. Adam's wedding must have been cool.
Reading through the blogs is helping me keep connected with you all. Praying for safety and healing for any injuries, and for no more "glitches" with equipment and cameras. Thinking of you all, very moved to read the testimonies of how God is working with campers and team leaders alike.

Hi guys,

Wow! I do wish I were there with all of you! I hope you get lots of time to share photos and stories when you get back....God is really shaking things up....how exciting!

Our family is keeping you all in our prayers.....way to go Robin and Kim....and Alyssa.....and all of you for opening up your lives....can't wait to hear more....

Daniel and Anand had a great time at Brook Cherith Camp....I think Daniel had the most fun, though:-)...He even let his breakfast girls paint his nails :-)...and didn't wipe it off for a few days....I think he really misses them a lot....on that note, make every effort to enjoy the campers while you're there....and bring back something to remind you of them....maybe not purple nail polish, but something that will help you stay connected and prayful :-)

Lots of love,

Kathy :-)

Continued prayers for all of you. The transforming power of the Holy Spirit both Inward and Outward is very evident. Praise God for that and all of your willingness to allow him to live in you.

God Bless,
Greg
